Our Key Ceremony for our new Lansdowne Habitat families was held last Saturday in the hall at the Lansdowne United Church. Speeches and congratulations were given by the Hon. Steve Clark Minister of Municipal Affairs & Housing, and Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Mayor Corinna Smith-Gatcke. Councilors Terry Fodey, and Brian Mabee were also in attendance.  A congratulatory letter was read by Pamela Little (HFHTI Board Chair) written by Micheal Barrett M.P. for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.
There were generous presentations of quilts to all the families by the Thousand Islands Quilters Guild and the Kemptville Quilters Guild.  Karl Feige from the Village Metalsmiths/ Alloy Foundry Co. sent his regrets that he could not attend, but will be gifting to the families their house numbers at a later date. Our thanks to all our donors, volunteers, trades people and supporters for making the Landsowne build possible.
