Habitat for Humanity Thousand Islands picks a winner of the Generac 8000-Watt Electric Start Generator generously donated by Bill Dixie of Dixie Electric in Athens, Ontario.

Brockville, Ontario – December 20, 2024 – It’s official! Sue Sanderson was randomly selected on December 20, 2024 at 9 am in Habitat for Humanity Thousand Islands ReStore as the winner the Generac 8000 Watt Electric Start Generator raffle.  The generator is waiting on the ReStore Showroom floor for the winner to claim their prize on Monday December 23, 2024.

“This is our first major in-store raffle fundraiser and it has been very exciting,” said Angela Campbell, Manager of Fundraising and Community Connections. “There were 400 tickets sold during the couple of months the raffle has been running. Bill Dixie of Dixie Electric donated this generator and has been very generous in his support of our cause.”

“This will be a very nice Christmas present,” said Board Chair Bill Spencer. “Fundraisers like this generator raffle can make a very positive difference in the community.”
